About Me

about 3 pngI'm a Freelance Graphic Designer based in Boston, MA, originally from Rio de Janeiro - Brazil.

I started my career, approximately in 1989, working as an art finisher trainee on Mocellin Advertising, an in-house agency of Porcão Churrascaria (Steakhouse).

At that time, the process from an idea (layout) to the graphic reproduction, was quite different. Without computer, Photoshop or any other software.

My start was in the old school, drawing with nankin, making collages and using Letraset to compose artwork suitable for graphic reproduction. With an artwork done, a film was created to produce printing plates.

A few years later, I created my first screen printing business and worked as a freelance graphic designer, creating ads for Jornal A Gazeta and developing artwork for other purposes, such as flyers and signs.

I moved to Boston in March of 1999 and since 2001 I began, effectively, to develop a large number of projects for companies, not only located in New England but also in several other states.

During this journey, I owned and operated Reaction DM (Digital Media) in Everett, MA, offering Graphic & Web Design, SEO, advertising consultancy services, and Google Adwords management.

I am currently working as Director of Creative & Technology Communications for Kings Bowl America. I'm responsible for handling several diversified creative projects in a collaborative environment with VP of Marketing, Directors and Marketing Managers from 10 different Kings' locations, and growing.

Creative projects include (web and print) recruitment materials, corporate collateral, advertisement, invitations, announcements, logos, branding, banners, billboards, and presentations. In other words, almost everything that is needed to help the marketing team to achieve their goal.
